Everfree Northwest 2019 Charity Auction
Everfree Northwest embraces the Elements of Harmony and the Magic of Friendship they represent. Our amazing staff volunteer their time and talents and encourage everyone to join them in expressing the Element of Generosity.
Our annual charity auction at Everfree Northwest is a cherished event. Items from amazingly generous people are donated to Pegasi Northwest, a federal 501(c)(3) corporation, which are then auctioned to the highest bidder, further increasing their value and lasting impact on our community. The proceeds from the auction, combined with other fundraising efforts during the event and throughout the year, benefit our carefully selected annual charity. To date, our attendees and staff have helped raise over $130,000 to benefit local and national charity organizations.
This year, we are proud to announce that charity donations will benefit Washington Autism Alliance & Advocacy.
Please take a moment to read the following from Washington Autism Alliance & Advocacy about the amazing work they do.
Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure that all children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD’s) & other developmental disabilities (DD’s) have every opportunity to thrive and become productive members of society. We do this by helping families access ASD & DD health insurance benefits, effective services in schools, and supportive community-based services, regardless of their personal financial situation. We focus on:
1) Providing pro bono guidance, counseling, coordination, training, resources, and legal support to families and professionals, to help them attain effective autism services and socially significant programs statewide.
2) Offering low cost or no-cost community services such as support groups, a respite care program, and peer social communication portals so families and persons with ASD and other DD’s can connect, share experiences, and feel less overwhelmed by the intensity of living with autism and disorders.
3) Advocate for legislation that directly supports and improves the health, safety, and education of children and adults with ASD and other DD’s, then working to connect the dots to make sure the policies are actually implemented to support those in need.
